The United States as an entity is in year #2 of its 9 year cycle of energies. #2 is a year of balance and decisions but I am a numerologer who interprets double numbers also and the formulas for 2008 for US add to #20=2. In Tarot cards, this number is the JUDGMENT card and equates to a theme of "awakening to new ideas and energies coming from deep in the subsconcious" (of its people)
Appropriate, then that the Obama wave of "change and new ways of doing politics" fits right into the "awakening".
Obama's life path number is a #2 also and especially an #11=2.
This is an energy of a "light worker" spiritually, a powerful old soul who has come "to show the way" for humanity.

I haven't been keeping on top of the political scene too much, but what I've seen of Obama, I like. Just wondering what you think of Hillary. She seems too masculine to me, but I think if she and Obama would work together, they might be a great change for our country. God knows we need to get away from the "I know what's right and you will just go along" attitude we have now. Or the "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality. After all, this is the government that is supposed to be "for the people, by the people". I'm really excited for the change that I feel is in the air!!! People are, I really hope, awakening to the truth and this will bring about a new way of doing things and a new way of being!!!
